- Recognize how brand-new laws affect California independent contractors vs. employees, so you don’t advise your clients with incomplete opinions or “the way it’s always been done”
- Name hot topics such as discrimination and harassment claims, contract provisions, paid and unpaid leaves, layoffs and other terminations, and COVID reporting laws in effect until 2023
- Define how new privacy laws affect information your clients can and must submit or retain in confidential records

Karen Sloat’s career has spanned over 35 years in many practice areas and three states – California, Colorado, and Hawaii.
